SYNOPSIS
Ferdinand Griffon est un homme qui vit avec sa femme et ses enfants. … Un soir, alors qu’il revient d’une désolante soirée mondaine chez ses beaux-parents, il se rend compte que la baby-sitter qui est venue garder ses enfants est une ancienne amie, Marianne.

Ferdinand (Jean-Paul Belmondo) leads a comfortable but boring life amongst the bourgeois elite in Paris. Returning alone one evening from a dull cocktail party, he decides, on the spur of the moment, to leave his wife and children for his babysitter, an ex-girlfriend, Marianne Renoir (Anna Karina).
